The Hype:

The ball & vase. The silk vanish. The penetration frame. All classics, all simple, all found in magic kits around the world. These classics didn't reach that status by having the most clever methods, they got there because properly performed they will fool the %#$# out of people.

With 4K Color Vision, Brent Braun takes a magic kit classic to new heights. Whether you're performing for magicians or a lay audience, if your audience thinks they've seen this before, they're about to have their world turned upside down.

This incredible update to the classic color vision box is a multi-phase jaw-dropper with a simple prop that you can perform anytime, anywhere.

A simple toy die with colored spots on each side is placed inside a box by the spectator and you can name the color every time! Each phase becomes more impossible, as you continue to divine the color out of the clear blue sky without touching the box! You can even name the color when the spectator has placed the die into the box behind their back and closed it without anyone watching!

And the best part... there are no electronics, batteries, remotes, bluetooth, WiFi, apps, stooges, mirrors, magnets, or other gadgets & gizmos. This is analog magic at its finest - pure, simple, and direct.

Includes custom-made props

Complete routine teaching by Brent Braun

My Take:

One important thing they left out on the list above is "Easy". There are no difficult moves in this routine and the moves that are needed Brent Braun teaches thoroughly.

I know that a majority of you have had a Color Vision set at one time or another. The big difference in this set is the quality of the prop. Colorful plastic that is built to last. The plastic actually reminds me of what Legos are made from.

Instruction is via a half hour video where you are taught all the ins and out and subtleties to allow you to add this to your set fairly quickly. The video quality is good and the angles and teaching are excellent.

Occasionally a clever magician will take an old dog and teach it new tricks. Ed Marlo used to demo the ball and vase in a magic shop and I am sure he absolutely killed with it. In the multiphase routine, the first two phases are just what you are used to. Then he throws in a couple of phases guaranteed to fry your spectators. Once again, easy to do. A couple of coin moves are utilized which are actually simpler with this set than with the coins. Don't worry. Even if you are a complete klutz with coins, you will be able to handle this.

He teaches a turnover move with the set that allows you to show the box with the lid on. The move is imperceptible and looks beautiful. He also teaches a move (which he says he does not actually use) that allows you to take the closed box from your spectator and flip the lid to the side where it needs to be. The also will not take you long to learn.

The Magic Firm has created something you will enjoy doing. The quality should make it last for a long time. Another thing that adds to the longevity is that the colored dots are not stickers but actually printed on the die. I wanted to check to see how much trouble it was to change a damaged dot and was very surprised to see how the dots were added. The Magic Firm seems to have taken all the steps to give you a quality product. This is highly recommended
