The Hype:

Here it comes George Iglesias again with a great twist on a classic! As you know here at Twister Magic we love to create organic pieces of magic!

Inspired by the Dove Pan effect, George bring us a new version, this time with a chocolate box!

Show a chocolate box empty, then close the box, make a magic gesture, say the magic words and Voila! Presto! Listo! The box is now full of real chocolates! The magician now, can take all out of the box or even better, pass freely the box to the audience so they serve themselves.

The box have been perfectly designed, with great materials, made to last, with great design and details, and to look like a real chocolate box.

Available in two versions: Gold (Ferrero Rocher chocolates) and Red (any brand or kind of chocolate)

Create realistic magic moments, perfect for close-up, Zoom shows, TV, kids parties, parlor and stage magic too!

Very commercial and easy to do!

My Take:

I know when I get a new item from Twister Magic I am going to enjoy it. It's always fun to have someone take an old principle or trick and give it a whole new face. George has done it before with Food 2 Go, his take on updating the temple screen. Now, he takes on the duck pan.

First of all, the props are beautiful. It comes in two style. Gold (to be used with Ferrero Roche candies. This is the one I received) and a red box which you can use for any type of candies that you wish. Of course you can use the gold box for any type of candies, too, but I think it is much more effective if you use the selected product. Plus, the candies are wrapped in foil to match the box. The box is made of heavy duty laminated cardboard and is built to give you years of service. You also receive a few extra pieces that you will probably never need but it allows you to make any repairs that you might need.

On a 24 minute downloadable video you are taught the setup and how the box works. Here is the good news. Once you set it up, that is all the work you do. The box is virtually self working. You pop on the lid, take it off and the box is now full of candy.  No sleight, no thinking. And the outcome is killer.

Most people love Ferrero Roche chocolates. Besides being visually very attractive with the gold foil, these really taste good. (Hey, finally a trick my wife will watch!) The empty to full box is a real eye opener. You are also shown how to show the box full, dump out the contents, put the lid back on and it is full again.  One thing that really sells the trick for me is an idea he shared before in Food 2 Go. Then he made a hamburger and fries appear and let the spectator eat it. In the same vein, when you dump out the contents of the Bon Bon Box, your spectator (and friends) can eat the candy. You can even let them open the box and take the candy out themselves.

This is great for small groups and the reset is quick but it wouldn't work for walk around. You would have to go someplace to do the reset.

There is only one thing that makes this less than perfect. Instead of using the name, Ferrero Roche, on the box. It says Magic Ferrero. I am sure this is due to trademark restrictions and it causes no problems. It is something we can all live with. The only downside is if the spectator wants to look at the box, he will see the word Magic, Obviously this is a magic prop but the appearance of the candy is so good that he might not even notice.

Some tricks I do because they are amazing and show stoppers and some I do just because they are so much fun to do. Bob Bon Box checks both boxes. Now all I have to do is jump in my car, drive to the supermarket and visit the candy aisle.

So George, you have another winner on your hands. Highly recommended.
