The Hype:

An incredible and highly visual revelation of 4 spectators' chosen cards!

Four cards are chosen and lost in the deck. Woody removes a card - unfortunately, it is NOT one of the 4 selections. What happens next has to be seen to be believed. Woody rips the card into 4 pieces, and with a magical blow, the pieces change to the first spectator's card. He then squeezes the pieces and they magically change to the second spectator's card.

But it doesn't stop there!!! A gentle shake and the pieces morph into the third spectator's card. The pieces change one last time into the final spectator's card. THEN the pieces fuse together, making the card whole again so the spectators can examine it!

Note: This effect will require some simple gimmicks that you may already have. If not, you can purchase them easily and cheaply from your favorite dealer.

My Take:

A new card trick by Woody Aragon and the price is only $4.95? That can't be right and yet, it is.

The last few years have seen a surge of card magicians from Spain and Woody is one of the top practitioners. The presence of Juan Tamirez in his performance style is pervasive but considering the influence of Tamirez on the Spanish school of card magic, it is understandable. When your work is that heavily influenced by a giant, you are bound to have a heavy influence.

That out of the way, this is a real eye popper of an effect. Pay close attention to the instructions all the way through. I had to go back several times to catch just where something took place and he fooled me again. Once I learned the technique, it made perfect sense.

The moves are not difficult. They should be accessible to any intermediate level card magician. I recognized some of the moves right away but Woody has them so disguised and integrated into the routine that it should fly right by even other magicians. He gives two endings, both excellent but with one clean ending and one not so much. However, either one is effective so the choice is up to you.

The simple gimmicks most do have already. I do because they can be used for so many other routines. However, since specific gimmicks must be used that must be destroyed with each performance, this takes it out of the the cheaply obtainable category. I think some thinking would allow an extra performance or two but if you do perform this on a regular basis, I would keep it for the better paying gigs.

Conclusion: If you add this to your repertoire, you will have a reputation making quality effect. It is not difficult and Woody explains everything in detail. For the money, this is one of the better download bargains around. Watch the trailer and you will know that you must have it. The only downside for me would be the constant replacement of the gimmicks but this is a way cool trick.
