The Hype:

A sandwich routine with a killer surprise ending!

Eric Jones has an eye for creating easy to understand routines, chock full of visual, potent magical moments. Routines that are modular, linear and devastating to a lay audience. Harlequin is an example of this school of thought. Within you will find a great mix of old and new magic from Eric's working arsenal--it will definitely find its way into yours.

A card is selected and lost into the pack. It is found just a moment later sandwiched between two ungimmicked Jokers. The sandwich then instantly changes to a royal flush. Eric will go over each phase of this beautiful routine in complete detail.

My Take:

This is one beautiful routine. (Of course, pretty much everything looks great in Eric's hands. There is a reason he is becoming so well known.) This routine is designed from beginning to end to be a very visual display of magic. And, I know this will take some practice, everything flows smoothly and quickly from one phase to the next.

The routine is great but what I really loved was that Eric taught you some moves that you can use with most other card tricks. Starting with the Spinning Double by Frank Garcia. Then he teaches Lennart Green's Top Shot. Next up is Eric's take on Blackstone's In The Hand Force. Eric has added to it making it even more deceptive while keeping the mechanics of the force very easy. Eric's Ishkabibble Sandwich is a thing of beauty. He holds two Jokers in his hand and in a flash, a card appears outjogged between this. I guarantee you will add this to any sandwich routine you might already do. The Dean Switch (related to the Jinx Switch) is a way to switch a small packet of cards for another. On to a pretty move by Gary Oulette.  So, for your money, besides a great routine you receive a smorgasbord of great moves and flourishes.

The price of downloads varies greatly and so does the quality. With Harlequin you get a first rate routine for small cash. A filet mignon for the price of a Big Mac. If you like strong visual magic, you will not go wrong with this routine. This is highly recommended. Congratulations Eric on putting this out.
