The Hype:

A smooth, simple and elegant progressive Assembly routine by the legend that was Alex Elmsley.

This is practical, easy to do, and stands out as being the trick that Alex actually INVENTED the Elmsley Count for!

Grab a regular deck and learn this astonishing piece of magic today.

My Take:

This has been in my arsenal for many years and I am thrilled to see Big Blind Media release it in this download. I will have to take exception to one of the statements Big Blind mentioned above. I believe the count was created for a routine called the Four Card Trick. Elmsley did create a great count for this trick (which he left unnamed) but is very easy to do and is essential for this routine.

Years ago, a buddy gifted me the L&L two volume set "The Collected Works of Alex Elmsley". This is the second routine in the first book, right after the Four card Trick. I learned this well over 10 years ago and still do it today. A super, super routine. The arrival of the cards in the leaser pack is so visual that I have had people actually gasp when it happened.

When I first got into card magic, my mentor, James Diamond, did Macdonald's Aces for me and totally fired me. This is the trick that really made me want to get into card magic. And it is still a sensational routine today. But I do have two problems with it. First of all, you have to carry a gaff with you and insert it into the routine and secondly, it can only be done with Aces. With this routine, you do not want to use the Aces. I ask my volunteer what his (or her) favorite four of a kind is, say anything except Aces. Since so many tricks use Aces, this takes the heat off, since any value could be chosen, you could not be using gaffs. I let my volunteers remove their four of a kind from the deck themselves. Could not seem more fair.

This trick requires zero gaffs so you can even use a borrowed deck. The moves are super easy and you have them down in no time. The is basically a non-gaffed Macdonald's Aces.

Of course, the video is of Big Blind's usual quality and well taught by Liam Montier.

In an Ebay search for the Collected Works of Alex Elmsley, I was only able to find Volume 1 for sale and it went for up to $200.00 for the one book. This is absolutely one of my favorite all time routine and getting it for $4.95 is the bargain of the year. If you love card magic, please don't pass this one by.

Obviously I give this my highest recommendation. I know that you have paid more for tricks that were not a fraction as good as this. Do yourself a favor and download it today.
