Crescendo - Alex Soza The Hype: A triple bill change! A one changes to a five and then a twenty or the other way around. A fun and simple to make gimmick that you will want to carry with you at all time.
My Take: Now this is a download that I really like! Since Patrick Page came out with “Easy Money”. many versions have been created and published, notable ones being Richard Sanders, Gregory Wilson and Karl Hein. These all have one thing in common. A number of bills turn into bills of a different denomination.. This version uses only one bill but I would put it into the same category as the bill changes denomination twice. Construction is well taught in the video. The one downside I see is if cutting up money bothers you, you could always substitute foreign bills or different denominations of American bills. For instance, you could be going on a trip to another country. Show a one dollar bill that instantly changes into a different colored bill, then changes a second time. Limited only by your imagination. The construction is fairly involved and you will probably have to make a trip to your local craft store but Alex covers every detail you need to know. And the gimmick you end up with should last a long time. Perfect to carry in your wallet or pocket. I have seen so many young magicians that have an idea and want to rush it out to make a few bucks or get their name known. The quality of the videos and the teaching show how a rush job can seriously affect both the impact and the value of a trick that if left to simmer for a while could be so much stronger. Not so here. It is obvious that Alex has spent a lot of hours perfecting his gimmick. I would give this one a highly recommended.
