My Take: Patricio has come up with a clever solution to the guillotine problem. Looks great but has some severe angle problems rendering it mainly to be used in a virtual performance. This is also a DIY project that is quite involved. Plus, you would have to buy a tool that I had not seen before. I would guess that it could be purchased at an art supply store. On a virtual performance, this would kill. It looks great but again, I noticed a couple small problems. The gimmick has to be held so the length of the card looks correct and must be aligned properly. Several times in the video one part doesn’t perfectly line up with the other. At the end you are shown a routine where any card can be picked. The gimmick is on the table but is held with a binder clip. The clip works well but why would you have to have the clip if everything was legit. The video is taught entirely with subtitles so there is no struggle to understand the directions (which teach what you need to know well). However, even with subtitles he should have used a translator. When he shows the binder clip being put on, the narrative says “We occupy a bra”. What??? For your 10 bucks, you get a pretty visual effect. You have to be willing to put in some time construction it and maybe buy a new tool. If you are a Do It Yourselfer, you might enjoy this, but I am going to have to pass.
