The Hype:

NEW CARDS! NEW INSTRUCTIONS! SAME WORLD-CLASS, BEST-IN-CLASS COLOUR CHANGING DECK ROUTINE!!!

My Take:

Any time I go to my mailbox and there is a new trick by John Bannon, it’s like Christmas has come early. And this time is no different. John gives you his latest addition to the color changing deck genre.

John tells his volunteer to pick a card but before he does, John will remove three cards that may have some connection to the chosen card.. John picks his three cards teaching a technique called the Bullet Catcher that he has used before. This is very clever and you will probably use it in some of your other routines.

The deck is riffled and stopped when the spectator says “Yes”. This is the card that is chosen. The three cards that John removed are shown to be the same value and suit as the card just chosen. It seems odd that there are four matching cards in the same deck. The explanation must be that the cards came from different decks. The cards are shown to all have different color backs. Then the deck is spread face down and the whole deck is different from the four cards just shown.  A real mind blower.

I was a little confused when I first opened the package as the deck was not included so I thought I might have to buy one. However after watching the video, it seems that you can use a deck of your own choosing as long as it is a different backing from the other four cards. What is really impressive is if you use a rainbow deck.

The instruction is via an 18 minute Vimeo video where John teaches the whole routine to Liam Montier. And you receive the four special cards needed for the routine. John has previously done some very impressive routines involving cards changing color so if you don’t already own Sizzle, now is the time to buy it.

The trick comes with the standard plastic card trick wallet making it an ideal item to just carry around it in your pocket. An easy to do routine that is bound the please your spectators.  As always with John's routines, this gets a thumbs up.
