Welcome to the Magic Portal. .This is a site aimed at making it easier for those interested in magic to access resources on the Net. Due to the interest of our visitors, we have added a page of miscellaneous sites and I have now subjected you to my list of my top five favorite sites of the moment. This site is constantly in the construction phase and should be updated as new sites are found. If you would like to suggest a site or if you find one of my links down, please email me . (Click here to pull up your email program.) I also have a mail list if you would like to get links before they go onto the site or even some that are never posted.
I woulld like to announce a new Facebook group that I have started. I was unable to find a group where anyone could post their magic trick reviews and opinions so I started one. Please drop by and join. You can either make your owon postings or see what someone else’s opinion is. Here is the link. Magic Trick Review Facebook page
My wife and I recently took a river cruise across Germany. As part of the experience, we were taken in small groups out to have coffee with some of the local families. Our group went to visit the Busch family just outside Wertheim. There were three children, aged 15, 13 and 8. We could tell the kids were uncomfortable around all these strangers who did not speak their language. The two older spoke English but Maxi, the youngest did not To break the ice, I pulled out a deck of cards and did a trick. Maxi’s eyes lit up and he raced to his room and came back out with his box of magic tricks. He proceeded to do not only his coin slide, but a cups and balls routine and the Professor’s Nightmare. I showed him a couple of things and made a new friend. We were unable to speak the same language but magic is a universal language and we communicated just fine. Thanks to Carolyn Blakely for taking this wonderful photo.
The Magic Portal would like to express my eternal gratitude to the Magic Depot for providing the server space that allows this to exist!
