The video for this trick is very impressive so I could barely wait to see how the gimmick functioned. I opened the envelope and my first thought was, “You’ve got to be kidding! How can they be selling this?”. Then I watched the video and as the Monkees once sang “I’m a believer.” The money you put out is not for a precision made gimmick. You are paying for the method which is worth every penny of the purchase price.

What comes in the package is a small envelope with a few of the gaffs included and a link for the 52 minute instructional video. I was unable to download the video but there is a form you can fill out asking for the download link. I did and got a new link just a few minutes later. Anthony seems very good about responding quickly to requests. The new link is on Vimeo so you will still need a video download program to keep the video on your computer. I use a free Chrome extension called Get Them All Video Downloader which can be downloaded from here. It worked fine for me and I now have the mp4 file saved.

I have seen numerous one trick video downloads and a lot of them seem like the creator thought of an idea and just put it out the next day trying to make a few bucks. Not so here. It is one basic method but there are a number of routines taught. After stumbling across a clever method, Anthony took the time to fully develop it. Using the simple gimmick, the routines look very magical. The moves are very well taught with no speech, just a music track. Everything you need to know has been added in text throughout the video.

 I believe my favorite effect is one where a card is chosen, the performer finds a card which is not the right one and inserts it sticking out of the side of the deck. He then puts the deck into a plastic bag and seals it. The volunteer can still see the wrong card sticking out of the deck inside of the sealed bag. The performer merely waves his hand in front of the bag and the card is now the right one. IN A SEALED BAG!  He also has a really nice color changing deck routine. Plus five more.

This is not a trick you will do right out of the box. It will take a little practice but it is not a knuckle buster. Take an hour or so and you will be able to do it. I can see this becoming a staple of street magicians. It is highly visual and the gimmick can be in the pocket and rung in whenever you might need it. And, if you don’t have a gimmick with you, one can be whipped up on the spot.

Conclusions: Despite my first impression, this is well worth the money. And, at $16.95, the cost is way below a lot of tricks that are not nearly as good or as practical. Anthony does a fine job of teaching how to use his product. Take an evening to learn this and you will be doing it both at gigs and frying the folks in the next ring meeting.
