My Take:

In a word? Wow! In two words? Holy cow! Arthur C. Clarke once said “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” While Wink is not advanced technology it is certainly a case of science appearing to be magic.

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I saw the trailer, Something that looks that good, beginner level and only twenty bucks? Then I saw it was from Vanishing Inc. I don’t believe that Josh and Andi have released a dog yet so my interest was aroused. The first thing I noticed when I put the DVD on was that there was no performance footage. However, there is a performance available at the Murphy’s link above. What you get on the DVD is only the meat. The Other Brothers (Darryl Davis and Daryl Williams. Yep, this is my brother Darryl and my other brother Daryl) do a superb job in teaching how the gimmick works. And get this. You get 42 gimmicks in the package plus material if you would like to design your own. And each gimmick is good for multiple uses. With care, they should last quite a while.

In watching the DVD, I realized right away that I was familiar with the principle used and wondered why I didn’t think of this myself. You will not be able to wait to start playing with this. Can be used with most glasses and see through bottles. This will be ideal for doing walk around. You are shown ingenious ways to carry the gimmick and ring it in and out of play

Conclusion - Stunning visual magic that is easy to do. Worth the cash? You betcha! At twenty bucks for a trick that includes over 40 reusable gimmicks, what are you waiting for? This one gets 5 out of 5.
